AMONG WOLVES now available through industry-supply giant Baker & Taylor

LOS ANGELES, CA July 12, 2004 -– Noted independent publisher Swannigan & Wright announced today that Scott O'Connor's short novel AMONG WOLVES is now available through Baker & Taylor (www.btol.com), one of the country's leading book suppliers. Since its publication, the book has been available in select independent bookstores. The new partnership with Baker & Taylor will introduce the title to more independent bookshops, chain bookstores such as Barnes & Noble and Borders, and public libraries nationwide.

AMONG WOLVES—about a young boy who believes his family has been replaced by imposters—has found a small but fervent audience and garnered critical acclaim since its release in February, 2004. Skylight Books, one of the leading independent bookstores in Los Angeles hailed it as a "masterpiece", and the Los Angeles CityBeat newspaper called the book "funny and harrowing" and selected it as their "Critic's Choice" in April.

For author O'Connor, the partnership with Baker & Taylor is especially important for a small press title. "The book has done incredibly well with limited distribution," he said. "The stores that have gotten behind the book have been the key to its success—they've brought us to the point we're at. This next step—and it's a big one—will introduce the book to a wider audience. It's sort of turned into the little book that could."
