Sail-Away on Schooner WOLF to Benefit Hospice Patients

(MIAMI, FL) June 5th, 2000 ˇV Sail the high seas aboard the 74-foot Schooner WOLF the weekend of June 10th and you will be helping the patients and families of Catholic Hospice. Proceeds from the dayˇ¦s events will be donated to hospice.

Be part of history and experience the adventure and romance of the high seas as Schooner WOLF, flagship of the Conch Republic, sails alongside the majestic ships in port for OPSAIL Miami 2000. Sailings depart from Bayside Marketplace at various times. The following is a sampling of sailing activities on Saturday, June 10. (Private Charters are also available)

„« Parade of Sails from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. - $50
„« Afternoon Sail from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. - $25
„« Sunset Sail from 7:00p.m. to 9:00 p.m. - $30
„« Starlight Fireworks Sail from 9:30 p.m.- 11:00 p.m. -$25

The Schooner WOLF has been showcased in several films, including Discovery Channelˇ¦s Travelersˇ¦ Show and National Geographic Traveler. The WOLF is also known for her missions of mercy, which include taking cargo of relief supplies to those Caribbean islands and Central American countries that were ravaged by hurricanes.

Part of the proceeds from this event will benefit Catholic Hospice. Catholic Hospice is a not-for-profit health care organization providing end-of-life care to terminally ill patients and families throughout Miami-Dade and Monroe counties. As a cooperative service of the Archdiocese of Miami, Mercy Hospital and St. Francis Medical and Healthcare Services, Catholic Hospice is dedicated to the preservation of the quality of life of people facing end of life issues. The hospice provides pain control and symptom management, as well as spiritual and psychological support to over 200 patients and their bereaved families daily, regardless of race, religion, age, gender, ethnic background, handicap, diagnosis or financial resources.
